Third Parties Such As Consultants

OPTIONS TO REQUEST CUSTOMER DEMAND AND CONSUMPTION HISTORY:
PPL CUSTOMERS AND AUTHORIZED THIRD PARTIES

OPTION 1 – ENERGY ANALYZER

The new PPL Electric Utilities Web site makes it easy for you to view your current bill, compare bills and see your usage history.  A Customer may link multiple accounts to their user profile in order to share access to an account. If the Customer opts to share, another user can see detailed usage information and pay bills for the account.   Summary and interval usage can be obtained using the Energy Analyzer.

There are several ways to review a Customer’s account records using the Energy Analyzer. Select “Bill History” for billing details. View a basic history of your usage and charges or click on the “Usage Detail.” On history screens, most columns have a “Graph” button in the heading. Clicking on the button will display a bar graph of the values in that column. Where appropriate, a line graph of degree-days can be overlaid by clicking the “Degree-Days” radio button below the graph.

Option III - EDI

If you are EDI certified in PPL Electric you may submit an 814 Historical Usage Summary request. If the customer has their account marked that we can release this information, you will receive an 814 Accepted HU response and then you will receive an 867 HU. As part of the 867 HU, you will get the KC=Capacity Obligation-aka Load Responsibility and the KZ=Transmission Obligation.

If the customer’s account number is correct but they have not released their information you will receive an 814 Accepted HU response but it will have one of the following codes in the 814:

REF*1P*HUU*HISTORICAL USAGE UNAVAILABLE
REF*1P*HUR*HISTORICAL USAGE NOT RELEASED

If the customer’s account number is invalid you will receive a rejected 814 response.

This information is confidential and is intended only for customers' use; however, records can be requested by third parties under the guidelines described below.
